NADANTA '25
Nadanta 2025, organised by Fankaar Institute of Performing Arts, brought together classical music, rhythm and Kathak through a diverse presentation of traditional repertoire. The programme opened with Raag Rang, a musical presentation featuring classical vocal performances in Raag Bhupali and Raag Tilak Kamod.
The programme continued with Taal Manjari, a Shudha Kathak presentation exploring the rhythmic structures of Taal Dhamaar, Taal Jhaptaal, Taal Ashtamangal and Taal Teentaal. This was followed by Niratat Dhang, a Kathak presentation based on an Ashtapadi by Jayadeva.
The evening culminated with Sati Maya Shiv, a Kathak production set to the powerful Dhrupad composition “Shankar Ati Prachand.” The production brought together movement, rhythm and dramatic expression, creating a powerful and immersive Kathak presentation.
