Govind Dev Ji Faag Utsav ' 23
On 28 February 2023, students of Fankaar Institute of Performing Arts presented a Kathak performance at Govind Dev Ji Temple as part of the Govind Dev Ji Faag Utsav. The performance celebrated the devotional and festive spirit of Faag through the expressive language of Kathak.
The presentation began with “Govind Damodar Madhaveti,” a devotional composition dedicated to Lord Krishna, expressed through graceful movement and abhinaya. This was followed by a Shudha Kathak presentation in Teen Taal, highlighting rhythmic footwork, traditional movements, precision, and the students’ developing command of the form.
The performance brought together devotion, rhythm, and expression, creating a meaningful presentation in the sacred setting of Govind Dev Ji Temple.
