Guru Poornima is a sacred occasion that celebrates the timeless bond between the Guru and the disciple. At Fankaar Institute of Performing Arts, the day is observed as an expression of gratitude, devotion and respect towards our Gurus, whose guidance shapes not only our artistic journey but also our understanding of discipline, tradition and life.
Through Kathak, music and collective remembrance, Guru Poornima becomes a moment to honour the knowledge passed down through generations and acknowledge the invaluable contribution of our teachers and mentors. The occasion reflects Fankaar’s commitment to preserving and carrying forward the rich Guru–Shishya Parampara of Indian classical arts.
